Prayer Lock

Privacy Policy

Prayer Lock is made by Triple Ace ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the Prayer Lock app for Android does with your information. In short: everything you enter stays on your phone. We do not collect it, see it or share it.

What the app keeps, and where

Prayer Lock saves the following on your device only, in the app's private storage:

• The name you choose to be called by, and your onboarding answers (goals, topics, how often your attention wanders, prayer length).
• The apps you choose to pause, your schedule and your unlock duration.
• Your prayer history, streak, saved prayers, favorites, custom prayers and journal reflections.
• Small technical settings, such as when an app's unlock ends and whether a permission screen was opened.

This information never leaves your device. The app has no account, no sign-in and no server of its own. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or crash-reporting tools.

The app includes Google Play's billing system, for optional paid features. Google Play handles any purchase under its own terms and privacy policy. Nothing you enter in Prayer Lock is sent through it.

Android's cloud backup is switched off for Prayer Lock, so your reflections are not copied to a backup service either.

Accessibility permission

Prayer Lock uses Android's Accessibility Service for one purpose: to notice when an app you selected comes to the front, so the prayer pause can appear before it.

• It only receives the name of the app (its package name) that is opening.
• It cannot read, record or store what is on your screen, what you type, or your messages. The service is set up without permission to read window content.
• Nothing it sees is saved, except whether an app you chose is currently unlocked, and nothing is shared.

You can turn the permission off at any time in your phone's Accessibility settings. The pause stops working until you turn it back on.

Other permissions

• Notifications: only for the prayer reminders you switch on. Reminders are scheduled on your phone.
• Run at startup: so reminders and the pause keep working after your phone restarts.
• The list of installed apps: to let you choose which apps to pause and to show their names and icons. This list is read on your phone and is not stored or shared.
• On some phones, the app opens the maker's Autostart settings so the pause keeps running. You make that change yourself; the app cannot see it.

Your choices

• Clear my data: Settings, then Data & privacy, then Clear my data removes your preferences, saved prayers, history and journal from the device.
• Uninstalling Prayer Lock deletes everything it stored.
• Because we never receive your data, we have nothing to access, correct, export or delete on our side.

Children

Prayer Lock is for a general audience. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it here and in the app, with a new effective date. If the app ever starts to collect or share information, we will say so clearly before it does.
